Timings

The Quran school meets on Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Purpose

The focus of the Quran shcool of is to teach students how to read, and memorize the Qur’an. This program is open to both boys and girls aged 6 and older.

The Quran School started Saturday September 15th. Registration is still open.

Levels

  • Advanced for boys: This class is for students (brothers) who completely memorized the Quran and students who memorized at least more than three Juz'as (chapters) with ability to read the Quran fluently. This class is taught by Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed, Brother Abdur-Rahman Mayhob, and Brother Amjad Yousuf. Age for this level ranges from 9 (MashAllah) to 17 years.
  • Advanced for girls: This class is for students (sisters) who completely memorized the Quran and students who memorized at least more than three Juz'as (chapters) with ability to read the Quran fluently. This class will be taught by Sister Ahlam Issa.
  • Intermediate: This class is for students who can read the Quran with some level of difficulty. This class is taught by Brothers Khaled Al-Ashmouny and Mahmoud Azzouny. Age for this level typically ranges from 9 to 12 years.
  • Beginner: This class is for beginner-level students who can not read and write the Quran. This class is taught by Sisters Alaa Kouder and Bayan Alem. Age for this class typically ranges 8 years and below or any beginner level no matter what age.

Essentially, the Quran school curriculum is custom tailored to meet the need of any student regardless of age and skill level - need of the entire community (kids, youth, and adults). So, there is no excuse for not taking advantage of this great bounty that Allah bestowed on our community. This would not have been possible without the support of our highly qualified and dedicated instructors who eagerly seek to implement the Sunnah of our Prophet (SAW): Narrated 'Uthman: The Prophet (SAW) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it." Please remember our instructors in your prayers.

Fee

$60 per student. Multiple student discount and financial assistance is available.
